Elevated Entry: A Mudroom with Quiet Impact

At Heydt Designs, we believe every transitional space deserves the same thoughtful design as any main room. In this coastal retreat, the mudroom was envisioned as both hardworking and quietly elegant—a true extension of the home's overall character.

Rooted in calm, natural tones, the space is anchored by a moody, timeless green that adds depth and warmth to the custom millwork. A chevron-patterned wood floor introduces subtle texture, architectural interest, and a hint of European sophistication.

To soften the palette, we introduced a woven pendant light that casts a gentle, ambient glow and brings in an organic layer. A softly patterned rug adds warmth underfoot, creating a space that feels grounded, welcoming, and refined.
